"Oy Vesna Krasna"
is out!
Karolina Wegrzyn is proud to announce the release of her debut album, “Oy Vesna Krasna”, a captivating blend of neofolk and traditional Eastern European sounds. The title, meaning “Oh, beautiful spring” in several Slavonic languages perfectly captures the essence of the album—celebrating the changing seasons, love, loss, and the rich tapestry of customs that define her heritage. Produced in a close-knit, intimate environment by her dear friend Steven Banbury at Fushō Studios, “Oy Vesna Krasna” features a diverse collection of songs drawn from various Eastern European cultures. With each track Karolina pays heartfelt tribute to her roots, weaving together timeless themes of celebration and remembrance. Through this album, she honours her family’s traditions and expresses her deep gratitude for the opportunity to share them with the world.

As a Polish folk musician, my passion lies in preserving and sharing the rich cultural heritage of Eastern Europe through music. My performances showcase traditional songs from various countries, each one imbued with its own unique history and folklore. I believe that music has the power to connect people across borders and cultures, and through my performances, I aim to create a sense of community and shared history.
